Lena is a writer who draws inspiration from history, culture, and the natural world. She believes a good story can set you free and help your head and heart when you need it most. While she writes across genres, Lena focuses primarily on women's and adult historical fiction with a touch of fantasy, as well as eco-fiction.
Her writing has been supported by Hedgebrook and she is currently an MFA candidate in the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. She also holds degrees in History and Applied Anthropology.
Lena Hari is a pen name used in tribute to her grandmother, whose determination and resilience continue to inspire stories.
